Only three food servers would deliver to this Hotel. We wanted something different other than Pizza Hut or Dominos!

It was very close to the Expo center with easy access on and off the freeway.

There were odd smells. Our floor smelled like there had been a recent flood. ANd the blankets smelled bad. The sheets appeared to be clean. The room appeared clean.

It's a five-minute walk from the Delta Park max station. It's also one of the few places with smoking rooms. Very close to cheap eats open late and a pair of convenience stores.

The bed was uncomfortable (too many springs poking my back). The bathtub didn't work correctly; the faucet had been tampered with so water only flowed from the shower head. The security latch on the door was broken, with jagged metal clearly visible. And the tv reception was terrible.

They have really good continental brakfast...eggs and biscuits and gravy.

The old smell of the room. At least put a air freshner.

It is inexpensive and close to University of Portland

The specific location was a bit hard to find and not the most beautiful area around with virtually no outside grounds.

Good value for the price, good breakfast, friendly and accomodating staff. Clean and quiet.

Reasonable price, free parking, clean rooms, good location, easy to find.

Hall on fourth floor stunk of cigarette smoke, because half the floor was smoking rooms. Gross.

Clean and quiet. Nice breakfast. Free USA Today.

Broken shower curtain rod causing wet floor. Waste baskets with liners not pushed down inside and defeating purpose. Old TV. Manager silent when returning room key - no thanks or farewell given.

The location of this Days Inn (North of Portland) was perfect; its location was right off the highway. My sister and I would leave during the late morning and not come back until late evening and we would be so tired from our day's adventure. And to know that when we see the highway exit and know that we are basically there at the hotel and our beds is great. The lady who I believe to be the manager is really nice and helpful. I had to print a PDF but the lobby computer did not have a program to open PDF. The lady offered to print it for me on her computer; that's what I call great customer service, by placing the guest's needs first. On top of that, while I was trying to figure out a solution with a Days Inn associate, a person from the cleaning crew was vacuuming in the lobby. When she saw that we were talking, she immediately shut off the vacuum and didn't turn it back on until my sister and I left the lobby, which was about 5-10 minutes with me going back to the computer, and she was not irritated to have to delay her work. That consideration really impressed us. We originally had booked with Best Western, which is right next door to this Days Inn, but when I saw the considerable price difference and after reading the reviews from previous guests, I decided to book with Days Inn instead. My sister was unsure to the quality we were going to get because of Days Inn's general overall reputation and if it didn't meet her standards, we were going next door and she didn't care that we would most likely have to pay extra. When we got there that day, she was surprised and satisfied with the place and said at the end of the trip that she'll definitely stay there again. And our room came with a microwave and small refrigerator. I wasn't sure if we would get one or not, since the price was kinda low and it didn't mention it in the booking info about the hotel room.

The box spring in my room had a huge orange colored stain that I couldn't identify. Since the stain was on the side that I didn't sleep on, I let it be. I don't know if they tried to clean it or not, but it was there when we got the room. If I had slept on that side or shared my bed, I would have to insisted on changing rooms. That was the only issue I had with cleanliness; everything else was clean. There was a male associate that worked in the late morning hours. He was nice enough but everytime I approached the desk, I got the impression that I wasn't welcome at the desk. I have approached the desk about three times throughout my stay to ask about something and there was never another guest in the lobby when I did so. He would see me approaching and just stare at me until I got to the desk and I had to greet him first. I always believe that the guest should not be the first to greet in this type of situation. The associate should have smiled, said good afternoon (depending on time of day) or hello, and/or asked "how can I help you?", or something along these lines and not just stare at the guest approaching them.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to keep our car parked at the hotel and use the shuttle even after we checked out. Hotel within walking distance of several restaurants and close to the expo center.

The mattress was rather uncomfortable and only one lamp in the room had a working lightbulb. However the room was clean and quiet.
